| 作品描述 | 我曾经相信一个人对艺术的热情来自于人类的本能。然而，在举办了两次个人展览之后，我注意到很多人并不是真的对艺术感兴趣。我基于好奇心对观众的采访得到了两个完全相反的答案。一方面，有些人认为艺术高于普通人的正常欣赏，他们不能有效地参与。另一方面，有些人认为艺术只是为了推销物质主义的产品。考虑到这一点，我对人们对艺术普遍存在的误解深感沮丧。我相信艺术是审美和价值的表达，可以很容易地规范化到人们的日常生活中。因此，我决定在艺术创作的距离和廉价的大规模生产之间找到一个平衡点。我用我的雕塑做实验，独立设立工厂，谈判合作，设计协议，争取价格，这些总体上已经成为市场上非常有意义的实践经验。最终，我决定建立蜡铸，以类似真正的形状龙果，然后铸造铜铸件内，以达到实际的形状。小规模生产代表高品质和定制，结合市场调研，最终采用金属色调。该批次的大小也完全适合安置在装饰架，桌子和窗户单位。这件雕塑的主题是“流言蜚语”。火龙果表面突出的叶子像人的舌头。总的来说，它暗示了人类生活的可比性，人们不管我们做出什么样的决定都会做出判断。既然我们不能阻止流言蜚语，我们所能做的就是跟随我们的内心，变得足够强大，这样我们的身体就能战胜伴随我们的“舌头”。I used to believe that one’s passion for art comes from human instinct. However, after hosting two personal exhibitions, I have noticed that many people are not genuinely interested in art. My interview of the viewers based on curiosity yielded two completely opposite answers. On one hand, some people believe art is too high up above normal appreciations of common people that they are not able to participate effectively. On the other hand, some believe art only caters to the promotion of materialistic products. With that in mind, I became deeply dismayed by people’s general misconceptions of art. I believe art is the expression of aesthetics and value and can be easily normalized into everyday people’s lives. Therefore, I have decided to find a balance between distance art creates and cheap mass production. I experimented with my sculpture, independently located factories, and negotiate cooperation, as well as designed protocols, and argued for prices, which overall had become a very meaningful practical experience in the market. Eventually, I have decided to build wax casts to resemble the real shape of dragon fruits, then molded copper inside the cast to achieve the actual shape. The small-scale production represents both high quality and customization, combining with market research, it eventually takes the color of metallic shades. The size of the batch was also perfectly appropriate for placement on decorating racks, desks, and window flats. The theme of this sculpture is “gossip”. The protruding leaves on the surface of the dragon fruit resemble human tongues. Overall it suggests comparability towards human lives, where people will make judgments despite the decisions we make. Since we cannot stop the gossip, all we can do is to follow our hearts and become strong enough so that our bulk trumps the “tongues” that accompany us. | ||
